While you cannot control the production of sebum by your sebaceous glands especially if it is hereditary or because of your age, you can however control the outbreaks on your face. Here are some tips on how you can control or minimize the acne breakouts you experience:
- Always keep your face clean to avoid the blockages that cause these problems on your face and other parts of the body. For women, try to ensure that all your makeup is removed and your face is clean before you go to bed at night.
- Wash your face with mild cleansers or even with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh soaps or washes since stripping your skin of all its oils can also make you prone to acne and other facial problems.
- Drink lots of water. Drinking a lot of water can help get you the kind of moisture that your skin needs to remain healthy and to flush the toxins and dirt out of your system. These toxins are also credited for inflaming and aggravating acne problems.
- Keep your hair away from your face as much as possible when you have oily skin. Hair and the dust it sometimes accumulates as well as the oil it can have might sometimes be the cause of the irritation of your skin and subsequently create acne problems.

For acne clear skin, regular exercising should be done as it increases circulation of blood which in turn helps in preventing acne formation. To avoid acne growth, detoxification of body is very important and the same can be done by increasing water intake and drinking fresh fruit juices.
