What Are Canker Sores?
When a person has canker sores, it can be pretty annoying or rather painful, depending on how big the sore is. A canker sore is essentially a wound in a person’s mouth that usually makes eating and drinking pretty painful and difficult. - Canker sores are sometimes mistaken for cold sores. The difference between these two different mouth sores is that canker sores only happen inside a person’s mouth while cold sores are found outside the mouth and around the lips.
- This problem is most prevalent in teens and in those who are in their early 20s. Women are also more likely to get these sores as compared to men and these often happen during the first few days of a woman’s monthly period.
