Common Cold Symptoms:

The common cold has symptoms that you can easily detect and identify. Sometimes these symptoms can tell you what kind of a cold you have, what kind of virus may have infected you, and what you might expect to come after the cold. Here are some signs of common cold you might be very familiar with:

• There are times when the common cold you think you have is actually more than just a common cold. You can actually tell if all you have is really a common cold or if the signs point to the flu or an allergy.
• You can easily tell if you have the common cold when you start off with a rather sore throat then this is followed by a watery and runny nose. The next symptoms of common cold you can expect include sneezing, tiredness, and even a rather low fever. A cough and the continuing sore throat can also be part of the symptoms you may feel with the common cold.
• When you find that you have these symptoms but in a more severe form, then you may be suffering from the flu and not just a cold. The flu can be identified with symptoms that are similar to the common colds but this includes muscle pains, soreness of the joints, a high fever, headaches, and nasal congestion.

Signs of Common Cold in Children

Kids may feel unusual sleeping and fatigue and some might feel appetite loss and poor fluid intake. Normal duration for the infection is two weeks where a child often gets nasal discharge and colored phlegm.

Common indicators in both older kids and adults are noisy and difficult breathing, and impaired sense of smell and taste. Sweating and chills are also seen along with the fever. Other indications are lymph gland swelling, ear ache and abdominal or chest pain.
