Common Digestive Disorders Diet:

When you are trying to cure yourself of certain common digestive disorders or if you are trying to avoid these, changing how you eat is one way to do so. Here are some tips on the kind of diet for digestive disorders you should have:
  • Whether it be constipation or a different digestive disorder, eating healthy is ideal for both treatment and prevention. Constipated individuals will do well to increase their intake of high-fiber as well as increase their intake of fluids.
  • When you are suffering from chronic diarrhea, you should include ripe bananas, brown rice, and toast with applesauce in your list of things to eat. Make sure that when you have toast that it is made out of whole wheat flour and that you do not put any butter on the toast. Dairy products should also be avoided when you are suffering from diarrhea.
  • Dyspepsia sufferers should add pineapples and grapes to their diet. Other fresh fruits will also benefit a person who has dyspepsia.
  • Ulcer sufferers should avoid spicy foods, alcohol, and caffeine. Some people with ulcers also try to avoid chocolates, tea, pepper and nutmeg.
  • GERD can be avoided or treated if a person eats foods that are low in fat and high in protein.
