What Is Constipation?
You might have experienced this problem at one time or another, and the problem called constipation is something you wouldn’t want to go through again. Constipation is basically a problem that involves your bowel movements, and here are some facts about constipation:- When a person is constipated, it can actually mean a few things. One of the things that can happen when a person is constipated is when he or she experiences a decline in the number of times he moves his bowels in a week. If a person is used to discharging waste every day and suddenly experiences bowel movement that is two or three times a week all of a sudden, he is likely to be suffering from constipation.
- Some people experience constipation that gets them to move their bowels but they go through some difficulty doing so. This is often because the stool that they are passing is hard or somewhat dry.
- Another form of constipation is when a person does discharge waste successfully but is left with a feeling that not all of the waste he needs to get out of his system actually got out or got discharged.
- While bowel movement frequency does diminish over time and age, having less than three bowel discharges every week is considered constipated.
