Natural Home Remedies for Eczema | Treatments for Eczema

Eczema Natural Cures:

When treating eczema, it is always better to resort to home remedies. This is because home remedies are less costly and they do not pose any harmful side effects that may even worsen the condition. The following are some of the most popular home remedies for eczema:
  • Prepare a cleansing wash for the affected part by mixing 2 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of slippery elm bark, 1 teaspoon of white oak bark, and 1 teaspoon of comfrey root. Boil the preparation for about 30 minutes and use it as in washing the affected part. This is particularly beneficial because it is advisable not to use soap and detergents on the affected area as this may cause further irritation.
  • If one has the time and can withstand it, bathing under the sun is also one effective way for treating eczema. The heat from the sun kills the bacteria while minimizing the inflammation.
  • Ground spearmint leaf and apply the juice over the affected part. This will reduce the itchiness and inflammation due to eczema.
  • Apply cold compress or cold water over the affected area at least twice a day. The cool and soothing effect f the water will help reduce the itchiness and swelling due to eczema.
