Prevention of Eczema | How to Prevent Eczema Skin Disease
Eczema Prevention:
- Wear clothing and blankets made from cotton. Cotton feels fresh on the skin, allowing air to freely flow to give a soothing feeling on the skin. In the same breadth, try to avoid garments that feel hot on the skin as this will increase the level of discomfort that one feels.
- After taking a bath, pat yourself with a cotton towel instead of wiping your body dry. This method will allow your body to restore some moisture. It will also help if you will apply moisturizer on your skin. However, when applying them, make sure that they do not contain any allergens: once allergy results, refrain from using the product.
- In order to prevent the worsening or acquiring eczema, avoid any physical contact with allergens that causes them. For example, avoid contact with plants, soap, chemicals, and other substances that are known to cause them.
- When your skin feels itchy, refrain from any impulse to scratch the affected part. Doing so will worsen your condition as well as courting the risk of introducing bacteria from your hands to the infected part.
- Maintain a hydrated body by drinking sufficient quantities of water every day. This is to keep your body moisturized and more resistant to eczema.
