Common ENT Disorders:

The ENT disorder covers a lot of ground and a lot of ailments. ENT basically means “ear, nose, and throat,” and there are a lot of disorders that can affect these parts of the body. Here are some of the more common ones that seem to afflict man more that the others:
  • Ear disorders may include problems like ear infections, excessive build-up of earwax, hearing problems, swimmer’s ear, tinnitus, and other similar problems. A perforated eardrum, middle ear infection, and outer ear problems are also part of the list of common ear disorders that are prevalent in humans.
  • Nose disorders include sinusitis and the common cold. People with nasal problems experience other complications with it like coughs, fevers, and even difficulty breathing. Hay fever and nose bleeding is also part of the nasal disorders people are prone to getting.
  • Throat problems include tonsillitis, coughs, sore throat, laryngitis, and other similar ailments are what make up the list of common throat problems.
  • Many doctors focus on treating ENT problems due to the number of ailments that people suffer from these three body parts alone. The doctor that treats these problems is called an otolaryngologist, and people who have problems that occur in the ear, nose, or throat often approach these medical professionals for help.
