What Is Female Sterility?

The problem that some women have when it comes to conceiving is what female sterility is all about. When a woman is sterile, she has a problem not only with getting pregnant, it sometimes means that she may get pregnant but may not be able to bring it to term. Here are few more things you might need to know about female sterility:
  • Some people confuse being frigid with being sterile. Frigidity is the person’s inability to perform sexual intercourse or wanting to have sex with someone, while sterility is the inability to get one’s self pregnant and to carry a baby to term and deliver it.
  • While some cases of couples who have trouble conceiving can be blamed partly on the male’s inability to impregnate the woman, most of the couples who cannot have a baby is usually due to problems with the female. Of all the couples who cannot have children naturally, only 20 percent is seen as a problem from the male side of the partnership and majority of this is due to female problems with reproduction.
  • The problems that many females have with sterility and infertility is due mainly to the many possible problems that women have with their reproductive organs and the other processes involved with being a woman.
