Menstrual Problems Symptoms:

Depending again on what kind of menstrual problem a woman is experiencing, symptoms will vary. When it comes to cramps, the most common symptom is the contraction of the abdominal muscles and the uterus that can bring about either a sharp or a dull pain. Here are a few more symptoms for some of the other menstrual problems a woman may experience:

  • When a woman has PMS, she may experience a number of symptoms that may make her feel uncomfortable and irritable.
These symptoms include bloating, acne, fatigue, sore breasts, and backaches. She may also experience bowel problems like constipation and diarrhea. Other symptoms may include mental problems like depression, buckling under stress, and even unexplained feelings of sadness. Food cravings are also part of PMS.
  • The main symptom of amenorrhea is the absence of a woman’s period after she has had it for some time or the total absence of her period even when she is past the age when she should have started menstruating.
  • When a woman has painful periods, this is called dysmenorrhea. This is usually characterized by very painful cramps that may run from the abdomen to the legs and to the lower back. Some of the symptoms that may accompany this problem include nausea, headaches, and vomiting.
