What Causes Plantar Fasciitis:
The plantar fascia acts as a shock absorber as it supports the foot arch. If this stretching and tearing of the fascia is repeated much too often, this can result to its inflammation or irritation.
There are several factors that could heighten the risk for getting plantar fasciitis and among these are:
- Obesity: The plantar fascia is considerably stressed by the extra pounds on your body.
- Sex: Women are more prone to contracting the illness than men.
- Inappropriate shoes: These include high heels and shoes that are either loose or thin-soled as well as those that do not offer proper arch support and shock-absorbing protection.
- Other types of exercises: Dance aerobics, distance running, and ballet dancing are among the activities that could cause plantar fasciitis’ early onset.
