The fatty deposits in medical terminology are called lipoma. They are benign tumors. They are not harmful. However, if they enlarge in size, they can cause pain and discomfort around the area. If you are obese, reduce your weight. Eat more green vegetables and fruits. If the growth is too big and causes problem, the other option is to remove it surgically.
