Home Remedies to Remove Unwanted Hair Permanently at Home

Another method similar to waxing is the use of sugaring technique. Instead of a thick wax, a sticky paste is applied unto the surface. The following ingredients can be prepared at home:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ lemon slice
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ tsp molasses (optional)
  • Cornstarch
  • Spatula
  • Piece of cloth

To make the paste, sugar, lemon, honey, and molasses should be mixed together and heated on a microwave for 2 minutes, or until bubbles appear. Dust the area with unwanted hair using a thin layer of cornstarch. Spread a thin layer of slightly hot wax unto the skin, and cover with the piece of cloth. The cloth should be removed in the opposite direction of hair growth.

Removing unwanted hair permanently is usually done at clinics and spas, where technicians use aberrant methods such as laser technology, photodynamic therapy, and chemical formulas. Removing unwanted hair permanently at home is not without risk. One can apply a hot wax above the skin surface, but this can burn off and damage the cells. The resulting damage could prevent hair from growing permanently.
