Involuntary dribbling or urination is a medical condition, which occurs due to a host of reasons. Primarily, it develops when the muscles and nerves that release / hold urine get impaired.

- When you feel an urge, try to hold up for 10 minutes, then, gradually increase to 10 minutes. Step up the wait period to 15 minutes. This helps reduce the frequency and urgency to urinate.

- Kegel’s exercises diminish the symptoms of incontinence. The exercises support and reinforce the pelvic floor muscles and successfully help manage urge incontinence.
- Lifestyle modifications, such as, eliminating foods that irritate the bladder: limes, oranges, chocolate, vinegars dairy, caffeine and alcohol helps.
- Bladder training handles urge incontinence efficiently. This technique teaches you to increase the period for which you can wait before you must urinate.
- Timed urination has proved to be another effective technique.
- Occasionally, in addition to these behavioral techniques and lifestyle changes, the doctor may prescribe certain medicines to manage the problem.
- Surgery, by and large isn’t recommended. But, may be resorted to in some cases.
