  • There are a lot of medical conditions that can cause constant or chronic aches in the body. These medical conditions range from common and mild ones to severe ailments or disorders.
  • There are types of constant pain that can be experienced by the body. The most common types include joint and muscle pains, neck and back pain, and neuropathic pain.
    Each type hosts its own cause and treatment. Neuropathic pain is commonly experienced by patients that have dysfunctional central and peripheral nervous systems.
  • There is several pain management treatments that are given by doctors to patients experiencing constant body ache. These treatments often take a holistic approach and would not only involve taking medications but will also involve a well-managed diet plan and exercise. There are times when the treatment would involve surgery.

Constant Body Ache Symptoms

  • Primary symptoms of constant body ache resemble those that are experienced during flu wherein there is severe pain experienced in the muscles and joints.
  • Those patients that have constant body ache often feel sick or have a fever.
  • Tenderness in joint areas can be felt by patients especially when the aches turn severely painful.
  • The inflammation of the muscles cause body aches and can result in weakening of the patient.
  • The aches or pains that are felt can still be felt even when sleeping. Patients that have the condition usually have trouble sleeping.
  • Increased fatigue. This symptom can also be a result of constant body aches.
  • The aches that are felt usually are not centered on a particular part of the body, but rather on almost all parts of the body.

What Causes Constant Body Ache

  • Trauma. Minor to major accidents that left injuries in the body can cause constant body aches. At most often times, the aches that are experienced constantly worsens during cold or winter time.
  • Degeneration. This is primarily due to aging. Older patients have a high risk in having constant body aches even when they do not have any illnesses or have not met an accident in the past.
  • Genetics. Patients who are experiencing constant pain may have acquired it from their parents or other relatives.
  • Illnesses. There is a long list of illnesses that can cost constant body aches. Some of the most common ones include flu, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, lyme disease, influenza, viral gastroenteritis, Colorado tick fever, lupus, and so much more. This is why it is important for patients to consult a doctor when aches in the body become constant since it may indicate serious illnesses that need proper care.
