Burning Heels
Burning heels or the plantar pain is more common in adult. It brings discomfort and disability. Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause for plantar heels. Having soft tissue and systemic disorders can sometimes aggravate plantar pain. The enlargement of the heel pad or the heel pad atrophy accompanied by plantar pain is more common to obese and older people.
To be able to locate the pain, a deep examination of the lower extremities is recommended. Medical researchers have associated heel pain with some common diseases such as:

Burning Heel Pain Treatment
The treatment depends on how severe the condition is.

Get adequate rest.

Relax the feet for at least 30 minutes after walking.

Refrain from doing strenuous activities

Use ice pack as it reduces swelling and inflammation

Exercise. Here are some exercises that will help strengthen the heel:

Lean against the wall with knees kept straight while the heels touch the floor.

Use the stairs to stretch the back part of the legs.

Using a can, massage and stretch the heels.

Soak the feet in carbonated water.

Soak the feet in a solution of Epsom salt and water as it helps relaxing the heel.

Mix and apply flour, wine and gardenia.

Eat foods that balance the fluid levels such as bananas, coffee, tea, asparagus which are all considered diuretics. Avoid foods that are high in sodium levels.

Massage feet using olive oil.

Apply hot and cold wraps of vinegar alternately.

Avoid standing for a long period of time.

Have and maintain the ideal weight to keep balance.
