        Vitamin A is essential for healthy eyesight. For reduction of glasses you should not take vitamin A supplements unless it is recommended by a doctor, because vitamin A in excess can cause many health problems, some of which are serious when it is taken as a supplement for long duration. Instead eat foods containing vitamin A. They are carrots, spinach, fish, cantaloupes, sweet potatoes, lean meat, etc.

      No floaters in eye are not responsible for refractory error. Refractory error occurs either due to defect in corneal curvature or defect in flexibility of lens.

      As most of the time you are working on a computer, you should reduce taxing your eyes by following certain tips. 1 you should take few minutes break while working on a computer. This will help to relax the eye muscles which are constantly strained. 2. Remove the glasses. Now fix your eyesight on an object that is far off. Observe it for few minutes. After this fix your sight on an object that is nearby, meaning at a distance of 8 to 10 feet. It is a good exercise for reducing refractory error. Also move your eyes sideways a couple of times.

      • Give your child vegetables and fruits. Give carrot juice as it contains Beta carotene. It is considered food for healthy eye sight.
      • Give small portion of fish as it contains vitamin A and omega 3 fatty acids.
      • Do not allow your child to spend lot of time in front of computers or television.
      • Constantly he should wear glasses.
      • Keep follow up with an eye specialist regularly.

Place your palm on the eyes without pressing it firmly. Keep it for 10 minutes. If you are working on computers take frequent breaks. Avoid straining your eyes in dim light while you are reading. Eat foods containing beta carotene. Carrot juice contains plenty of beta carotene. Drink one glass of carrot juice daily.

      Give her a glass of carrot juice daily. Carrot contains beta carotene and it strengthens eyesight. Tell her to read where the light is sufficient. She should not watch TV for long hours. And above all tell her to wear glasses as without glasses she may have to strain her eyes more.

      Lasik eye surgery is a popular surgery nowadays used frequently to correct refractory errors. It may be nearsightedness, farsightedness, or even astigmatism. Basically this surgery reshapes the cornea. It is a transparent front portion of eye through which light is focused on the retina at the posterior aspect of eye. Patient does not have to wear contact lens or eye glasses.
