Dark Underarms Prevention
Preventing your underarms from darkening can be done if you practice good personal hygiene and take care of yourself by watching what you wear and what you do. Here are some things you can do to avoid dark underarms:
- If you want to remove the hair from under your arms, try not to shave or use underarm hair removal creams since these can be harsh to your skin and can cause darkening.
- Keep your underarms clean at all times by showering or bathing every day and wiping it dry and clean before applying deodorant or anti-perspirant. If you are allergic to these things, keep sweat under your arms to a minimum by using baking soda on it.
- Try to be selective about what you wear to avoid un-needed friction between your skin and your clothing. This causes dark underarms and avoiding clothes that will constantly rub against your underarms will help you avoid armpit discoloration that happens with these clothes.
Dark Armpit Prevention
To prevent dark armpits, minimize use of polyester or synthetic clothes as they increases friction which is the main cause of dark underarm and instead wear loose fitting clothes. Losing excess flab helps in preventing underarm darkening. Using anti-fungal deodorant powder prevents chemical reaction to skin. Sugaring technique for hair removal should be preferred over shaving or waxing and washing the skin using mild cleansing agent or using humidifier for making surrounding air moist must be done.
