Signs of Gallbladder Disorders:

Because of the gallbladder’s function being only secondary to the stomach and other organs surrounding it in the digestive system, people may not realize that their digestive problems indeed points to a problem of the gallbladder. This is due to the fact that most symptoms of gallbladder problems are so similar to common digestive problems that people often think that the problem is with the stomach and not with the gallbladder.

One of the most commonly misinterpreted signs of gallbladder diseases is constipation. However, because constipation is more akin to a digestive disorder, diagnosis of gallbladder diseases by using constipation as the cue often goes wrong. In order not to miss the signs of gallbladder diseases, one should also look out for the following symptoms:

  • A frequent headache over the eyes especially over the right eye
  • A feeling of fullness or a feeling of food not being properly digested
  • Nausea and dizziness
  • Stools are light or chalky in color
  • A frequent pain in between the shoulder blades
  • A pain or tenderness under the rib cage, especially on the right side
  • Bloating and gas
  • Indigestion especially after eating fatty foods
