Gastritis Diet:
Believe it or not, one method for treating gastritis is to fast. However, the fasting that is involved here does not mean total deprivation of food. Instead, one should subsist on nothing but fresh fruits for at least three days. When a person is under fasting, there is a lesser chance that he/she will be taking irritants that cause the disorder.
Along with fasting, one should also consider the following:
- Avoid intake of alcohol, milk, tea, coffee, sweets, pastries, cakes, and pickles. These foods contain substances that can cause an irritation in the stomach.
- Yogurt and cottage cheese can be taken. These foods contain live microorganisms which assists in restoring the acidity level in the stomach to normal.
- Prepare a mixture of 6 ounces of spinach juice and 10 ounces of carrot juice. Consume the combination at least twice a day for good results.
- Make sure to consume at least eight glasses of water a day. However, make sure not to take water during a meal as it will dilute the digestive juices and delay the digestion process.
