How to Treat General Weakness at Home

Here are some simple home remedies to cure lethargy:

  • Massage the body with eucalyptus oil or rosemary.

  • Taking a nap during the day can relieve tiredness and alleviates lethargy.

  • Acupressure is also an effective technique to cure this condition.

  • Stimulating drinks such as tea and coffee can help relieve lethargy, but these must be taken in moderation.

  • Munch on sprouts as these provide energy and protein needed by the body.

  • To get rid of this condition, taking lime juice can help.

  • Preparing an herbal tea made of holy basil, lemon juice and honey is effective in minimizing the symptoms.

  • Some blood circulation stimulants such as ginseng, cayenne, and ginger are good in relieving lethargy.

Diet for Lethargy

This condition can be easily remedied unless caused by a severe health problem. Diet and lifestyle modification play a role in the alleviation of lethargic symptoms. Here are some diet pointers to know to prevent lethargy:

  • Having more foods rich in iron such as spinach, apricots and raisins are helpful.

  • Consuming more fruits and vegetables can make the body fit and healthy.

    I am 23 years old student. I get tired easily mostly when I am about going to bed. I feel tired too when I wake up in the morning. It also spoils my day because I always find it difficult to get up from bed in the morning.

      There are many reasons for feeling tired. It is common in people suffering from anemia, hypothyroidism, diabetes, depression, anxiety etc. Check your blood for anemia, hypothyroidism and diabetes. Also if you are depressed and anxious you may feel tired throughout the day. As you are a student reading for long hours, take a break in between your studies for a while. Exercise daily. Walk for half an hour in a garden. Eat healthy food and do not skin meals.
