Guttate psoriasis looks like a teardrop on the skin but with a finer lesion. Its name comes from “gutta”, a Latin word which means drop. People infected with guttate psoriasis have more leukocyte antigens BW17, CW6, or B13 than other people. Genes also play a vital role in getting guttate psoriasis. Thus, individuals with history of such disease are more vulnerable to getting infected. Many individuals carry the genes that make them pre-disposed to psoriasis.

  • Spots or teardrops on the skin in salmon pink color also known as lesions.
